Diagnostic hysteroscopy

Note: These recommendations are only valid if you undertake the examination in the practice.

This examination can either take place in the operating room or in consultation.

It cannot be performed if you have your period. And of course, you must not be pregnant.
The ideal time of the cycle is between the 5th and 14th day.

You will have to wait half an hour in the clinic after the examination is performed when it is performed in the practice.
You may experience some bleeding after the examination, so it is advisable to take periodic protection.

Colposcopie

You should not have your period during this procedure.
If this is the case, it is preferable to postpone your appointment!

Sometimes a preparation of the cervix will be necessary. In the practice, we opted for a small dose of estrogen for the 10 days prior to the examination.
Don’t forget to bring your Pap smear results if you haven’t done it in the office. They are mandatory for the execution of the colposcopy.
